Who is Joe Groshek?
Joe is a nationally known Humorous Illustrator, "Humorous" being the operative word. This describes his somewhat twisted personality as well. Ironically, when Joe runs into people he knew as a kid, they tell him they still have a certain comic, cartoon, or caricature drawing he did on a napkin, or school notebook, they figured they better hang on to it, as someday Joe will be a famous Cartoonist, and it might be worth something. Today, most of Joe’s close friends and relatives that own some of his original artwork, continuously ask him, "When are you going to die so I can sell my artwork and make some big money off your name?" Well, Joe hates to disappoint them, he’s planning on hanging around awhile, but looking forward to watching them make some "big money" off his name, when the famous part finally comes!

Where did he come from?
Joe was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Offspring of Joe and Sue, brother of Margie, Michele, and Rick. He was lucky to have been brought into a HUGE family with a fabulous sense of humor. Almost 60 1st cousins, and over 85 2nd cousins and still counting. Nothing in regards to topics of conversation was off limits, including making fun of and degrading each other as often as possible. It continues to this day, especially at family weddings. Joe also has a fabulous daughter Alex, who is his biggest fan.

MADly drawing attention to himself!
Joe began his art career at an early age; he was creating bookmarks for kids in his 2nd grade class, charging 10 cents apiece. They were either cowboys, or streakers. He continued selling his artwork by drawing on folders, and inside schoolbooks, a dime went a long way back then! When Joe was ten, he saw his first MAD magazine and was completely enamored by the fantastic art on the pages. He was hooked! The works of Mort Drucker, Jack Davis, Don Martin, and Angelo Torres, just blew him away! Joe continued buying old and new issues of MAD and using them as references to his art, and before long, he had a complete run of MAD magazines. Today he owns one of the largest collections of MAD magazines and memorabilia in the country.

Making it a career!
After high school, Joe went on to college and got his degree in Commercial Art. Joe now specialize in caricatures, greeting cards, editorial cartoons, and again, humorous illustrations. Joe has been very fortunate to do artwork for a large list of national and Fortune 500 companies, as well as local and statewide agencies. Joe currently lives in Jacksonville Florida with his Fiancé Noelle, who he is constantly trying to convert into a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan.
